About Jenise Hale and Gossamer Key
Jenise Hale, Author
Jenise Hale, author of Gossamer Key, was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she lives to this day. After being published in a local paper when she was in the fifth grade for winning a writing contest, she went on to graduate as Valedictorian of her senior class. She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an Internal Auditor Certification while working full time at the U. S. Postal Service along with being a wife and mother. To improve her fiction writing skills, she attended workshops at the Gen Con Writers’ Symposium over a five-year period and continues to find learning opportunities to enrich her writing skills including writing the blog, “The World According to Jenise”.
She has had a plethora of life experiences from which to draw on for her writing including jobs such as a library page, a floral designer and a bartender. She is also a world traveler and loves meeting new people and experiencing new things.
During her 31-year career at the U.S. Postal Service, she held a variety of positions such as Letter Carrier, Postmaster, and many positions in the Marketing department including Manager, Consumer and Industry Contact, where she was able to hone her writing skills. In this position, she researched and wrote responses to Congressional letters for the District Manager’s signature. While in the Retail Department, she contributed monthly articles to the District Retail newsletter, Retail Details. As the Senior Small Business Specialist, Manager Consumer Affairs, Retail Specialist and Business Development Specialist she often contributed articles in the Kentuckiana District Newsletter.
Besides writing, she enjoys time with her family and friends, animals, painting kindness rocks, making beaded jewelry and being in nature.
